How To Play ISO Image or Cue/Bin

There are two ways to deal with ISO files.  You can either burn them to a disc, or install software that allows you to run them virtually (no disc).  Here is how:

The easiest way to run an ISO image is to install and run DAEMON Tools.  By mounting the image to a virtual driver, you save time burning and money buying discs.  Also, it is good to have so you can test an ISO before eventually burning.
You can download "DAEMON Tools" at http://www.daemon-tools.cc for free.

After installing Daemon Tools, open the program.  You should see a lightning bolt icon in your task tray.

  • Right click on that icon and go to “Virtual CD/DVD-ROM”
  • Go to “Set number of devices” and set it to “1″, now you have created your virtual drive. The program will give the virtual drive it’s own drive letter “Drive _” (E, F, G, etc...).
  • Now we can mount our ISO, right click on the icon again and go to Virtual CD/DVD-ROM > Device 0: > Mount image
  • Now just browse for the iso image and click “Open”. Your iso should run.  NOTE:  You can have up to 4 drives at once, once you run out you have to un-mount a drive to replace with your new one.
